Casey: the after-hours AI sales agent that knows your vAuto inventory
Last updated October 18, 2026
Casey is DealersThink’s AI sales phone agent. She answers after-hours sales calls and sales calls that arrive while your desk is already on another call. She works from your vAuto inventory, loaded from the nightly report. A unit that report marks wholesale is never offered. She does not book service. Riley does that, in Xtime.
Who this is for
An AI sales phone agent for dealerships is a different purchase from a service scheduler. The calls come in when the showroom is closed, or when every salesperson is already with someone. The guest wants to know what is on the lot: a trim, a color, a payment conversation you may not want an agent to invent. The related searches are after-hours sales calls, an AI inventory phone agent, and vAuto. DealersThink’s line on vAuto is deliberately narrow. Casey works from your vAuto inventory. We do not call that a certified integration.
How it works
- The lot arrives overnight. A nightly vAuto report becomes the inventory Casey can talk about. Wholesale units on that report are counted and then left out. She cannot offer a car the report did not list as something you sell.
- She answers the sales line. After hours, and when the desk is on another call, Casey takes the sales call. Service appointments stay with Riley and with Xtime.
- The lead goes where you already collect leads. At the end of the call, the lead is emailed to the address your store set, as an ADF/XML lead, the format eLead, VinSolutions, and DealerSocket read from a lead inbox. No address set means the lead is saved for the desk and not emailed.
Inventory, without a fantasy lot
A sales agent that describes cars you sold yesterday wastes the call and the guest’s trust. Casey’s picture of the lot is the report vAuto already sends, read on a nightly cadence, not a spreadsheet someone retyped. Wholesale is the explicit exception the product enforces: those units are not offered. If a stock number is missing from the report, she does not fill it in from a national feed.
That is also the limit. She knows what the report knew when it was loaded. She is not a live walkaround, and she is not your desk manager. A caller who wants a person gets your team. A sales-line voicemail, when Casey is not the one who should take it, still shows up for a coordinator in Leads to recover, tagged so the desk can tell it from a service call.
Service stays on the other line
Dealers that want one agent to book an oil change and a used truck in the same breath are asking for a blur. Riley has the certified Xtime integration and the certified CDK read: customer, vehicle, and repair-order history for caller lookup and BDC Customers. Casey does not borrow that booking path. If the caller reached the sales line and actually needs service, the handoff is to a person, not a silent rewrite of the appointment into the wrong system.
Hours are the other half of the fit. Casey is for after-hours sales and for overflow, when your people are already talking. She is not a reason to send the weekday showroom staff home. The store that should buy her is the store whose sales line rings while the building is closed, and that already trusts vAuto as the inventory file. Pricing depends on rooftops and products. It is not on this page. Book a demo and ask to see a wholesale unit get skipped.
What it connects to
Certified CDK and Xtime integrations · vAuto inventory (Casey). Riley books, moves, and cancels in Xtime. The CDK integration reads customer, vehicle, and repair-order history for caller lookup and for BDC Customers. Casey works from your vAuto inventory on after-hours and overflow sales calls. vAuto is not described as a certified integration. The same three are summarized on Integrations.
Sample call
Until that recording is ready, the path is the one above: Riley answers, offers an opening Xtime actually has, writes the appointment in Xtime, and hands the caller to your desk when the request should not be booked on the call.
Human handoff
The BDC desk is your staff, in the same product as Riley and Casey. A caller who asks for a person is handed to that desk. A recall, a diagnostic, or an op code Xtime will not take is not announced as booked. The call goes to the desk, or Riley takes a number for a coordinator to confirm. Anything she could not finish waits in Leads to recover.
